hey everyone..I have some bad news but I'm not gonna let it get me down to much..I was 136.5 yesterday morning..even though i was doing the atkins diet..and this morning I was 139. I was so mad at myself..I feel unhealthy right now cuz I ate way to much on that diet and it was like all fatty stuff..I didn't even have the veggies cuz I thought It would slow down my weight loss..I was being stupid cuz I know you need the veggies doing that diet..well since i ate so much I am up to 139 and I also have a big pain in my side..I hope its not from me eating to much protien and fat..I think I'll be ok though. I'm not to sad though cuz I'm still 139 and I was 147 a while back. I'm gonna go back to plain old calorie counting and exersice..i think it will work...Is there anyone who is 5'1" and 140 pounds..around that? My goal weight is 120 and I'd like someone to talk to and help motivate me. Don't get me wrong though..the Atkins diet is a great diet it really is..I just dont think its for me. My next mini goal is 135. When I reach it I will let you guys know how I'm doing. Good luck to everyone

weight constantly fluctuates everyday. water weight etc all comes into play, that's why u should only weigh urself once a week. hard I know. its tempting to be a scale hopper, but better all round to do it weekly. that way u can really tell better how ur doing

the atkins diet is healthy for kids, as long as they dont go all out with no carbs....my mom had me on that diet, and my doctor had me eat 30 carbs a day, no more no less...i lost 30 pounds!!! and im healthy!!

CHELSEA Iam sorry, I shood have read that first But that is what a doctor told me. I try my best to stay on a diet. but it hardly works but I beleive in my self just like you told me. and now I am telling you to beleive in yourself wich you already have. Good luck to you!!! hey..i know your not trying to be a know it all..i know your concerns but Atkins is actually a really healthy diet if you do it right..It does not damage your kidneys..there is no reseach to prove that..and it is actually proven to lower cholesteral levels..not raise them. The only reason I stopped is because it just wasnt the diet for me..I dont think I can stick to it. I support anybody on the diet and anybody off the diet..everyone just needs to believe in themselves..i know some ppl that have lost a great deal of weight on it and are healthier then ever..I wasnt doing it right so I mean..I'm just not going to do it..Atkins is just as healthy as any other diet out there..as a matter of fact its one of the healthiest..If you read the bood cover to cover you would understand a lot better. Its just society that puts it down so much..If you think about it..ever since they put low fat high carb things out on the market our country is getting fatter and fatter and unhealthier too..trust me Atkins is a great plan you just need to follow it right..and another thing..if you knew about ketosis and all that you'd understand how you become healthier and lower your cholesteral..I'd recomend to anyone out there to read the bood before you make comments about it..cuz it is a great diet..it just wasnt for me..thanks..and no offense to you lexi at all..thats good that your concerned but until you know the truth ...read the book..Peace

I am not tring to be a know it all but that diet you were on is not heathy at all. It dameges your liver and your kindney. that diet workes better ,and is much heather for your body if your above the age of 18-20 years old.

thanks guys a lot. I don't think atkins is right for me either..I mean..i know a lot of ppl that are healthy as crap and lost like 50 lbs on it but for me its just different..today i did good..i counted calories and i jogged 1 mile and walked a mile..50 sit ups and 10 push ups..so I think I'm gonna do fine..thanks for all the support

Hey, don't worry about it! I fluxuate between 10 pounds every day o_O. I could be 180 in the morning and 190 at night. But Atkins is really unhealthy, go back to calorie counting if you REALLY want to lose weight. XD

you havent failed on your diet! honey, all that is is water. weight normally fluates during the day. dont let it get you down, u havent really failed.
