I've been to this site so many times. And so many times i've set goals and so many times failed to meet them. Well this time I want it to be the opposite of that. I wanna finally lose my weight. I'm 16, 5'9'' and close to 280 lbs. I'm really muscular and tall so I don't look as big as 280 sounds. but yeah I'm really overweight. My dream would be to lose the weight, be a decent size for prom (which is next year, not this) and to play softball for school. I've wanted to forever because I can't play for the summer leauge anymore because of my age. And i miss it SOOO much. I try and watch what I eat. I have the same thing for lunch every day which is a Ham and cheese or turkey and cheese sub and baked chips which is a pretty good meal. I'm also starting to go to the gym at my church and run/walk 16 laps which is equivalent to a mile. This isn't a problem for me so i'm glad. I'd like to get down to 140. That is a decent weight i think for how tall I am. If anyone would like to give me some tips i'd be forever grateful. Oh, and another strange thing is that you are 5'9 and I'm 5'8...lol. I seem to be right behind you in everything! rofl!

Hi, I'm Heather too! This is the strange part...I'm 15 instead of 16 like you, and I weigh 270 instead of 280 like you. Maybe you don't see it...lol Anyway, I'd love to chat whenever ya want about diets and stuff. I totally understand how aggravating it is to be overweight. I have a couple different messengers if ya wanna talk sometime. :)

Hello! You sound really positive! You CAN do this. What I can recommend because I too, am trying to lose weight. I am just eating healthy. I found that counting carbs, counting calories, counting in general is not something I want to be doing for the rest of my life. That is why I have chosen to eat *healthy* and exercise. The weight will come off slowly but at least I know I WILL lose it and it WILL stay off. I exercise with The FIRM, and sometimes WATP. Your swimming is good exercise!! Make sure and keep that up.
