i know some people said that u should eat atleast 1500 colories aday, but a site told me (and it is a very acurate site) that it depends on how much u weigh. if u weigh 150 or lower and u want to lose weight, don't have 1500 colories. that will just make u stay the same.1400 colories would make u stay 140 and 1300 colorie would make u stay 130. i am just saying what i read off a site and saw on tv. but i should add, for people who are still growing this could be different, but for people who aren't, this is what the site said u should follow, and doctors say so too. good luck!

sorry pete, but even MY doctor agree with the site, in case u didn't know, its the discovery channel and they get their facts from the most highest educated doctors in the world and they name them all. of course, i suppose it could be different if u play alot of sports, u burn more colories so of course u would need to eat more colories to stay the same.

Both or my pairents are great physicians... and that statement is totally rong. It takes a hell of a lot more than weight to aproxinmate the daily income of calories to a boady to keep lose or gain weight. age size and physical endourance/ammount of physical work on an avarage are just a few that contribute. Some one weighing 130 lbs who plays alot of sports my need well over 2000 calories a day to maintain there weight. A persons matabolism also servs a great factor. So im sorry to say you and the site are RONG.....!!!!!

I agree, that is pretty much true. The less you weigh the less you are going to have to eat (or the more calories you are going to have to burn) in order to keep losing weight. That's why when you weigh a lot you lose weight a lot easier in the beginning.
