Ht. 4'9", Start: 135 lb, Today: 130 lb (BMI %tile: 96), Goal: 100 lb - please help me. I've been trying to lose weight for a while now, but i'll lose a few pounds, and then think i'll reward my self for a few days and end up gaining it back. I've kept these 5 pounds off for about a month, and was proud. I'm polish, and today was paczki day. paczkis are a kind of polish donut, and today I ate three custard ones as a reward, without seeing how many calories they were. I just checked and they are...take a guess.... 1500 calories. each. thats 4500 calories, not counting my other meals! (they add up to about 750 calories) I ate 5250 calories today! thats more than a pound and a half! Please tell me what I should do. please help me, someone. I feel like puking, I'm so mad at myself, but i don't think that will help. I'm in tears, please help me what do i do I need to lose this weight I ate as much today as I do in a normal week! what do i do?

First calm down! It is ok to do that because you did not know. But in the future you NEED to CHECK the CALORIES before you eat something. I find a really good way to burn calories is swimming. Just keep on staying with you goal and now you know not to put something in your mouth without thinking next time. GOOD LUCK:-):-):-):-):-):-):-):-)

You can have a reward food but watch the portion you eat, and if you do go over eat alot workout hard

Hi Kitty. I too have been trying to lose weight for a while, and sometimes have trouble keeping the weight off. While I can't give you any tips on how to lose that weight quick, I can give you advice for the future. Stop rewarding yourself with food. You are only sabotaging yourself that way, which isn't good. It's OK to have something like a paczki every once in a while, but don't have three. If you want to reward yourself, do something else like buying something you've wanted for a while, or just giving yourself a sticker. Finding ways to reward your weight loss that don't involve food will really help.
Best of luck~
