Ht. 5'4", Start: 245 lb, Today: 245 lb, Goal: 170 lb - Hey I am newish here, and I need tips on how to lose weight because I need to get thinner. Also it is summer time and we have a pool but i havent been able to swim because it has been to cold. and i would run or jog or whatever but i always feel weird. So anytips will help.

Start slow with exercise, I'd recommend getting some exercise DVDs like yoga, kick boxing, or basic all-over toning and cardio tapes. Build up your stamina and when you feel ready go for a walk around the neighborhood. In time will start to feel more confident, then you can ride your bike to school, jog after school, etc. without feeling out of place. Hope I helped! =D
