Hi guys! I just wanted to give everyone on here a little message and hopefully try to give people some good advice!I've noticed, as I read on this board, that everyone is asking about how fast they could lose 40 pounds, 50 pounds, etc. The thing is, losing a significant amount of weight takes a LOT of time. This is not to discourage anyone, but just to set the record straight. I have been working out and eating very well for about two months and I have lost 19 lbs. However, I have lost 28 inches. Don't think of weight loss as only in pounds. If you don't already know this, muscle weighs MORE than fat but takes up much LESS space, and also burns more fat during activity or even inactivity. When you work out you build muscle and this won't take you down on the scale, but it WILL take lots of weight off and make you look much nicer. GIRLS: If you are worried about doing weight training because you think you will bulk up like a musclewoman (LoL) don't worry you won't. Only men have the hormones to bulk up like this without help; female bodybuilders have done that sort of thing for years and years and often take medicine or even steroids to get like that. If you're still not sure about it, then you should try working Pilates into your workout schedule; it helps to stretch out your muscles so you look longer, thinner and more graceful.If anyone's found this helpful, let me know and I'll post again! _ _| \/ | \ / Shelli \/

hey ya'll im not sure if my message showed up before but im about 5'1 and i weigh 135 thought i weighed 140 but i weighed and measured myself today i wanna get to 105 by june...is that possible?!!??! please help...prom is next weekend and im hoping to at least lose 5-10 lbs...any suggestions?

Did anyone try exceersize tapes? Which ones work? Not too pricy.Does tie-bo work?Any results??? If yes, then what did you accomplish???Did anyone try the"8 minute workouts"?Thanks

I need to lose ten pounds before the end of May. And quick tips or helpful suggestions? I am going to eat 1000 calories a day (calorie counting definately works - it helps you eat healthier foods and carefully monitor your eating), burn 500 cals when I work out (4-5 times a week), weight train (2 times a week), and drink plenty of H2O. i weigh 185 lbs, and im 5'5''. i have tried so many diets and lost up to 25 lbs, i keep gaining it back... does anybody know a diet that works?????? when i lost the weight, i felt great, but now not so much...

hey people...im 14 years old and 210 pounds. Im hoping to go down to atleast 150 by the end of the year. Most of my wieght is on my disgusting stomach. I am now on my high school's track and field team, we have hard workouts everyday, im also doing softball for my town, so hopefully that will help me lost some wieght. Im starting to eat healthier too, for breakfast i usually have a bowl of cheerios, for lunch a wheat bread sandwich or a salad, a piece of fruit and water, i hardly have dinner but wen i do i usually eat a salad, and throughout the day i drink lots of water. Do u think that will help me lose some wieght?? and does anyone know what excercises will help me lose my ugly stomach?? thanks for ur help~

It's important to get 1 hour of aerobic excercize each day. Here are a few fun ways to get some exercise:*Hop on one food to get the mail*Jump rope to your favorite song*Do one push up, one jumping jack, one toe touch, and one sit up. They try two of each. Then three. See how high you can go!*Time how long it takes you to run around the block. Rest 2 minutes and try again to improve your time.*ALWAYS REMEMBER BEFORE AND AFTER YOU EXCERCISE MAKE SURE TO GENTLEY STRETCH YOUR ARMS, LEGS, WAIST, AND NECK TO PREFENT INJURY!I hope this helps! I am 16, five feet 3 inches and weigh 175 pounds. I got big because of a bed ridden tonselitis/mono case over the summer(the medication they put me on made me gain about 20 lbs.) I want to go back to 135 pounds(by going to the gym and running and arobic excersize and eating less and stuff) but how long will that take if i do it this way?

Hey guys! I am doing pretty good on my diet. I gave up regular pop and haven't had any in about a month, but it is hard to keep on exercising. Sometimes I would rather have ice cream or fastfood. It is also extremely hard because my best friend(Who I love dearly) is overweight and has fastfood everyday and if I say I don't want any she will buy it for me.
