Hey, I'm Chris, and I thought I'd finally get around to posting here. I've been looking at some of the posts with interest for what seems like ages (probably about 3 months) Well, my story is that I'm 12, Male, about 5'9", and just over 160lbs, I'm fairly musclet, and I don't look that fat, altough there are distinct rolls around my waist!, (I think its a 32" or osmething equally horrible) I'm going through a 'growth spurt' thingy right now,so I want to know 2 answers. 1) If I wasn;t going through a growth spurt, should I try to lose weight? 2) As I am going through a growth spurt, should I try to lose weight? Hi, i'm 15 i live in england and i am 22 stone!!! thats 308 pounds. I want to go to a fat camp but my parents cant afford it. Is there a strict and hard weight loss camp? I know that if i could just lose the wieght at camp, i would enjoy being thin so much i would just not eat. Does anybody know of a hard and gruelling camp or does anyone just want to talk about thier experiences. I have no friends, because people dont want to know anyone who is fat. I am so depressed that my school work is suffering. People laugh and stare at me when i go out.I am addicted to food.I spend all my money on it-macdonalds,kfc,burgerking. I cant help myself. Even my old friends are begining to get embarrassed to be with me. I am 6ft 3 so you would think i looked alright but i am disgusting. Does anyone know of a cheaper than usual wieght loss camp. I used to be on steroids for a disease i have. The steroids increase appetite and make your face chubby. I had no control over my appetite. Unlike a lot of what is said here, they were not cravings, it was hunger. I always used to come home crying because people called me fat and I had no control over it. I was 12 years old, 5'0" and 125 lbs, which is quite overweight for someone who normally weighs 87 lbs. When I refused to take the steroids I threw up nonstop for days! But I preferred that over being fat. Luckily I found another medicine, and now I am cured! But I can't seem to lose the weight. I don't eat much at all and I exercise some but I weigh 107 lbs and I weighed 87 lbs before the steroids! I am so ashamed of my weight and I have to wear clothes I don't like just so that my fat doesn't show! When looking at the site it says eat less, but if I eat any less I will not get enough vitamins! Does anyone have any advice?

I noticed a lot of you skinny ones (yeah I'm crackin' on you again :) ) are comparing yourselves to others... mostly your friends. I do that a lot too. I weigh 170 (after loosing 10 pounds in the last month WOO HOO) and I feel great. yes, I'm still fat and all... but I personally feel very good about myself. Don't look at your friends who are aneoxic. I think not enough emphasis is put on how dangerous aneorxia is. Did you know that it only leads to death?? My aunt had it... she started missing periods... passing out, couldn't use her arms or legs sometimes because she wasn't getting enough energy. Forget what you're friends look like. And the models in magazines (if you notice... a computer has done up a lot of that, and they're suckin' it it :) ) You guys with the 26 inch waist and all that look FINE. Did you know that in the 1940s it was considered beautiful to have like a 30 something and over inch hips?? WOO HOO... :) Everybodys body is different... we're not all gonna be able to look the same.
