To Come on: I read your advice on dieting a week ago, and I was amazed. I started to do exactly what you said...nothing. I had my friends read over what u said, and they think you're insane. How can a person lose thirty pounds in a week from drinking water? Mental...and unsafe. You're not supposed to lose weight that fast. Anyway, if this diet of yours really has worked, it won't for me.

Okay i no this has nothing to do with weight-loss but i was hoping someone here could help name my band... its me and a couple of my girls lpaying on the guitar and drums and we do a punkish sorta music like avril lavigne...thanks!

Hi, I am 13, 5' 3" and 107 lbs. But my stomach sticks out alot. Not just the bottom, but all of it. What can I do to fix it?

I'd just like to say that a lot of you seem to be going about losing weight the wrong way- you are losing weight too quickly and exercising way too much3-4 times per week is plenty- your muscle actually NEEDS the time off to tone- the gap inbetween exercising is the time your body gains the benefits from the exercise-A lot of you are losing more than 5lb per week on a regular basis and to do this you must be damaging your metabolisms soo soo much- truly i dont think some of you realise what you're doing to yourselves! i speak from experience and losing more than 2-3lb p/w is not a good idea b/c u are losing MUSCLE not fat, and the muscle burms more calories on its own than fat does so in the end you'll probably end up putting the weight you lost back on again- and more!- I know it sounds as if i'm nagging- and i am really i know, but please please diet sensibly- i know how hard it is, but it's worth doing properly- you dont want to yo-yo your whole life

hey everyone. im going into high school this fall and we get these things called big sisters. they r seniors who go out with us and help us adjust to the new school. well my big sister was such the model type. 6ft and looked like she weighed maybe 125. she came with her best friend who was exactly like her. then we met some of there other friends who were all alike. then their little sisters, other freshmen, were all skinny. i felt like such a outsider. i mean, im 5'2 and 180 bls. i dont look like it though. its really weird cuse whenever i go to get physicals, the doctors are like "omg! thats weird. my scale must be wrong. you look like u weigh 140!" i know, its weird. what im gonna say is gonna sound even weirder. being around all of them gave me kinda, a i dunno, a will to go on i guess you could say. it made me think," i wanna look like that" is this normal? i dunno what do u guys think?

(Oh yeah, Kris. I bet YOU'RE WATCHING MUAHCHCHACHACHA!) Okay, yeah. In weighty watchers terms, I'm having 25 or less point things a day, PLUS I'm doing 30 min of running, 60 situps, 60 leg lifts, and one hour of upper body weight lifting (with light weights). Will this make me lose weight? I don't have a scale because I'm stupid.. uhh.. I weigh about.. uhh.. I don't know. But I *am* a fat tub of lard.. post here or mail me at PurpleSyrup@hotmail.com

Ok, i have heard people on this board, talking about it doesnt matter if your overweight, as long as your happy. I somewhat agree with this, and somewhat disagree. I think that if you are happy, then fine, you are happy, but did you know that if you are even the slightest big overweight, you increase your chances dramatically to contract type 2 diabetes, which is mostly assosciated with being overweight, and eating/drinking too many sodas, and sugar. Plus you get higher chances of getting cardiovascualr disease, and contacting other incurable diseases, just because you are 15-20 lbs overweight. 5 lbs makes the diference. I am happy that some of you are happy with the way you are, and you probably were told by your parents that its the person inside that counts, and that no matter what you look like, or how much you weigh you are still beautiful, well, beauty is in the eye of the beholder, and that may very well be true, but this is a weight loss site, i have already lost my weight, and i was sort of happy with myself before, but now im much better off, and dont have to worry about contracting diseases (there is still a chance that it might happen, but a smaller chance than before) all i know, is that if your happy with your body now, then ok, but you would probably be even happier with yourself when you loose weight, and you sure will be healthier. All im providing is some advise, and if your happy, more power to you, but hey, i bet you would be alot happier if you looked closer to britney spears that to roseanne (dont know her last name, she has been married too many times to count, she had her own tv show) Well, more power to you, and i hope all of you reach your goals, and remember, dont starve yourself, and rest some, have fun, your not going to loose it all overnight, so whats the point of killing yourself for 5 hrs a day, working out, and end up giving up because of the difficulty, and not being able to keep up with it. Just as long as you do more working out than you did before, and eat better, you will loose weight!
