Taking Inventory

When you decide to make healthy changes, it can be hard knowing exactly what changes to make. Here are a few questions for you to think about.

1) How often do I eat fast food?
   *  Once a month
   *  Only on the weekends
   *  3-4 meals a week a week
   *  I eat fast food for breakfast, lunch
      and dinner

2) How often do I exercise?
   *  I make time to exercise
   *  I exercise 2 or 3 days a week
   *  Only in gym class
   *  Never, I donít like to exercise

3) When do I eat?
   *  Only when I feel hungry
   *  I eat 3 meals a day
   *  I eat when my favorite foods are
       around, even if I donít feel hungry
   *  I eat when I am happy, bored, sad, stressed
       out, or just upset

4) Where do I eat my meals?
   *  At the kitchen table
   *  In front of the TV or computer
   *  Wherever I fell like at the time

Take time to really think about your answers to each question. It can be helpful to keep a journal about the when, when and whyís. From this you may be able to make a few goals about what healthy changes you can make.
