Are there good foods
versus bad foods?
Sometimes, people get hung up on choosing just the "good" foods everyday and then feel guilty when they eat the "bad" foods. This guilt makes some people feel like giving up. Some even overeat or binge to help feel better. Of course, later on, people who binge like this feel even worse. For many people this cycle gets them stuck in a food prison.
The only way to get out of the food prison is to remember that all foods are good. They provide our bodies fuel. Some foods we should eat
everyday, like fruits, vegetables, lean meats, low fat milk or yogurt, and whole
grain cereals or breads. Once or twice week it's okay to eat foods many people label as "bad": cookies, chips, ice cream, cake...you get the picture!
