~REPLY WRITING AREA~

Before you post a reply saying that you are overweight or that you want to lose weight, please first check our Weight Calculator . If the calculator says that you are healthy weight, please do not post a message saying that you are overweight or that you want to lose weight.  This offends the kids who really are overweight.  Thanks a lot.

From Peter, Age 16

i'm on my way to being fit. on sunday i started my diet and exercise program. i walked 4 miles on sunday, and 3 on monday, and i only ate 2000 calories on both of those days. i avoided fatty foods, i have eaten absolutely no junk food. lucky for me, i have found that i don't really care that i'm not eating junk food anymore, and after only two days i realize that it's alot easier to tell when i'm really hungry and when i just have the urge to snack. my self control has been suprisingly good, not once have i been tempted to eat something when i wasn't actually hungry. i know it's only been two days, but i'm encouraged with how the first two days have gone. by the way, i'm 5'10 and 270 pounds. i have a large frame, and i hope to get down to 200 pounds before my birthday, which is november 30th. a good thing to remember is that no food tastes as good as being fit feels and i wish the best of luck to everyone else who is trying to lose weight, and i know that i have a very long road ahead of me, but when i finally reach the end of the road it will be the greatest accomplishment of my life and i will have developed healthy eating and excersize habits that i will carry with me for the rest of my life.
