Ht. 5'9", Today: 188 lb, Goal: 157 lb - Hello Everyone, I'm new to this and Just found the website yesterday. I went to my doctor's and I told her how my weight was making me uncomfortable and she gave me some tips on losing weight. She recommended I try the South Beach diet for a month to get me started then to slowly just start eating healthier. Today was my first day on it. It's so hard though I have tried so much in the past and nothing has worked so far so it's hard for me to stay motivated. I'm 5 foot 8 and 3/4 and 188 lbs. I'm really motivated this time though, and finding this website was an answered prayer, cuz I didn't know they had something like this. I'm about 31 pounds from my goal weight, and I really want to lose at least 13-15 pounds by december 13 wich is exactly 3 weeks away. It's actually a special occasion for me cuz the guy I liked asked me to this big dance, and this will be my first date.. lol it seems sad but my mom had a rule about not dating until I turned 16. I could really use any support and advice you have, and I am looking for a diet buddy to help me with this, possible e-mailing back and forth 2 times a week or more. (Preferably someone 15-17 years of age.. no offense to anyone I just want someone my age to talk to) Well anyways, If anyone has tips on good ways to get started or their favorite healthy meal that would be great.
