~REPLY WRITING AREA~

Before you post a reply saying that you are overweight or that you want to lose weight, please first check our Weight Calculator . If the calculator says that you are healthy weight, please do not post a message saying that you are overweight or that you want to lose weight.  This offends the kids who really are overweight.  Thanks a lot.

From Stephanie, Age 13

Ht. 5'1", Today: 180 lb - Hi.My name is Stephanie.I'm 13 years old.I have always been a little chubby, but until I started Middle School,I never really cared much. Then, the last couple of weeks of seventh grade, me and a couple of my friends made a home video for our english class. When we watched it in class, I was blown away.I was HUGE.I hadn't realized how big I really was.I stepped on a scale for the first time in my life and gasped at the number.180lbs.I am only about 5'1,so I knew this was not a healthy weight.I started to diet, but then slacked off, figuring "why bother?" Then, when I started eighth grade this year, all the girls had developed over the summer and had become really pretty. All the guys were whistling as they went by and going out with them.It really made me upset.I wanted a guy to whistle at me or ask me out.I'm also afraid of having heart problems or developing diabetes.Right now,I'm trying to cut down on portions. Not eat any sugary, processed foods. For the past couple of days, I've been running laps, doing cardio and yoga.Everytime I get on the scale, though,it shows a different number. One minute it will be 176,the next,183.What am I doing wrong? Lend me your support, please.I REALLY need it.All of my friends are smaller, and don't understand.THANK YOU VERY MUCH.
