I think a better way to find the amount of calories your body needs is by taking your goal weight, multiplying by 10, and then adding the weight to that. So if you want to be 150 pounds (150 times 10=1500+150=1650). Remember, that's how many calories your body needs to work, basically if you slept for 24 hours, that's about how many calories your body would use if you were 150 pounds. The more active you are, the better and more you should eat to keep your body nourished and healthy.
