Actually, I HAVE talked to my doctor about weight loss. You, j_lynn, are right. 500 calories is not starving yourself, yet. But if you continue to stay on a diet which only allows the intake of 500 calories a day, you will not last long. Your body will not have the energy it needs. You will become weak, tired, and irritable. After a week, at the least, you could go into starvation mode. That is not a healthy, or effective plan.
