BULLETIN BOARD

~REPLY WRITING AREA~

Before you post a reply saying that you are overweight or that you want to lose weight, please first check our Weight Calculator . If the calculator says that you are healthy weight, please do not post a message saying that you are overweight or that you want to lose weight.  This offends the kids who really are overweight.  Thanks a lot.

From Daniel...READ THIS!, Age 18

READ THIS! When I was about 10 or 11 I was 5'7 and weighed around 175.I was not lazy, but overweight and frowned apond by other kids. When I reached high school I knew that if I was going to exercise and eat right, I would have to do it for myself! not other people. What did I do? I started by doing weights.. not heavy weights, just reps of 12 or 15 that I could do in sets of 3 and 3 times a week. and for cardio? all I did was walk or run for 20 to 30 min a day 4 times a week. When deciding what to eat, I tryed to think of healthy yet good tasting food. IMPORTANT, when you eat fruits, vegtables, whole grain, beans and protein.. lots of protien.. your helping your body burn fat! I continued to eat the above and continue my weights and running. When you workout, your brain tells your body not to eat fatty foods! it keeps you very modivated and on task for exercise and healthy eating. You just have to remember not to (have a small snack before bed) only healthy! if you want some more advice or help.. I would be more than happy :) Good luck!!! Dan
