~REPLY WRITING AREA~

Before you post a reply saying that you are overweight or that you want to lose weight, please first check our Weight Calculator . If the calculator says that you are healthy weight, please do not post a message saying that you are overweight or that you want to lose weight.  This offends the kids who really are overweight.  Thanks a lot.

From Lucy, Age 15

Ht. 5'3", Start: 144 lb, Today: 146.5 lb, Goal: 120 lb - So, yesterday I had a breakthrough. I was sitting in bed, thinking about why I can't seem to lose this weight, and I realized, it's just because i'm not trying hard enough. I give up too easily. Do you know how many "startovers" i've had? How many entries in my journal where I say " I'm going to start fresh and lose this weight!" How many weight loss journeys i've had? TOO many to count. But this is for real. I've calculated how long it will take me to get to my goal. If I lose an average of two pounds a week, I can lose up to 14lbs or more at the end of May. That would put me at 132lbs or so and a much healthier BMI of 22.7 So, that's my new girl. I'm thinking short term, instead of long now. Start small. I was trying to see results too fast, and when I didn't see them, I stress ate. Enough of that now, My goal for this week is 1lb. That's it.
