~REPLY WRITING AREA~

Before you post a reply saying that you are overweight or that you want to lose weight, please first check our Weight Calculator . If the calculator says that you are healthy weight, please do not post a message saying that you are overweight or that you want to lose weight.  This offends the kids who really are overweight.  Thanks a lot.

Ht. 6'2", Start: 263 lb, Today: 262 lb, Goal: 185 lb - Starting this weight loss journey is scaring me so much. I have absolutely no idea how I am going to lose almost about 80 pounds. Today went fairly well. I tried to cut back on the soda (I usually drink about 6 a day, today I only had 3). I know I need to cut it out completely but there is no way I am going to be able to do it at first. I tried taking smaller portions and not snacking throughout the day (I can't imagine how I became this overweight ;-) I think my dad is going to end up being a very encouraging force. For some unknown reason, I think he thinks I can do this. I hope it works but I'm not terribly optimistic. Thankfully school starts again tomorrow and I won't be sitting around at home for most of the day. Thanks for everyones advice yesterday, I decided on 185 because it turns out 190 is the max for my height/age and I wouldn't mind being a little below the max. But that is a long tikme off.
