BULLETIN BOARD

~REPLY WRITING AREA~

Before you post a reply saying that you are overweight or that you want to lose weight, please first check our Weight Calculator . If the calculator says that you are healthy weight, please do not post a message saying that you are overweight or that you want to lose weight.  This offends the kids who really are overweight.  Thanks a lot.

Ht. 5'9.5", Start: 220 lb, Today: 210 lb, Goal: 160 lb - I've finally found a weight loss plan that my parents agree to! My dad said he'll buy my mother and I an elliptical if I show progress in weight loss (after I lose 10lbs+). I've also started a vegetarian diet and I've been drinking protein shakes. My mom has an ancient exercise bike that still works that I plan on using until we get an elliptical. I was wondering if 2-4 pounds a week was too much? I've tried asking my doctor, and he said 5 pounds a week was safe, which I don't believe it is.
