~REPLY WRITING AREA~

Before you post a reply saying that you are overweight or that you want to lose weight, please first check our Weight Calculator . If the calculator says that you are healthy weight, please do not post a message saying that you are overweight or that you want to lose weight.  This offends the kids who really are overweight.  Thanks a lot.

Ht. 5'6", Start: 271 lb, Today: 253 lb, Goal: 150 lb - Here's my story: Two years ago, I was about 20 or 30 pounds overweight. I spent two years with an emotionally abusive boyfriend, and as a result, gained almost 100 pounds, and ended up with horrible red stretch marks on almost every surface of my body. Well, I got rid of him in February and now I'm finally ready to start my weight loss journey! I went for a nice long walk with my dogs yesterday, and felt great! For breakfast today (actually, I woke up at 2pm...) I had one bowl of cornflakes with a sliced peach. I'm probably going to exercise on my Wii Fit today because it is so hot and humid. From my bad emotional experience, however, I turned to drugs, which present another problem. I started smoking marijuana almost every day, which ends up giving me...THE MUNCHIES. I'm working on kicking that bad habit, too. I did not smoke yesterday, so I ate far less. It is a process, though, so I'm not going to be able to quit cold turkey or lose weight all at once. However, I think that by being more active and kicking my pot addiction (thereby eating less), I will be able to reach my goal at a healthy pace! Has anyone else had a similar struggle to mine? If so, please leave any advice, tips, or tricks that were helpful for you! I know I can do it, but it will be very hard, so any advice you can give me will be greatly appreciated!
