~REPLY WRITING AREA~

Before you post a reply saying that you are overweight or that you want to lose weight, please first check our Weight Calculator . If the calculator says that you are healthy weight, please do not post a message saying that you are overweight or that you want to lose weight.  This offends the kids who really are overweight.  Thanks a lot.

Ht. 5'3", Start: 218 lb, Today: 198 lb, Goal: 150 lb - About two months ago I decided to go on the Atkins diet, and I did really well the first two weeks, and lost 8 pounds, but then when I started adding more carbs back to my diet like the rules say, I stopped losing weight completely. I went on vacation about a month ago, and I haven't been able to get back on track with the diet again, and I know that now I would have to start it all over again. :( The diet was ok, but I honestly don't think it's the best method. I think it's smart to stay away from refined sugars and white flour as much as you can, and load up on veggies, but I am just not sure that the strict atkins works for me. Does anyone think I should just try to cut out the white flour and sugar out of my diet, and just try to eat more whole wheat and grains and such? While eating lots of veggies and meat and cheese and fruit and nuts? Does that sound good? Or does anyone else have any suggestions? And regarding my last post, I did find a running program. ;) Thanks! -Shekina
