Ht. 5'2", Start: 172 lb, Today: 172 lb (BMI %tile: 98), Goal: 132 lb - Hey guys, it's been about two weeks since I've been on here and let me tell you it's been the worst two weeks ever! It was like as soon as school started all my thoughts of getting healthy went out the door. One thing that deterred me the most was the idea that this is going to be a really journey. I mean i didn't expect to lose 40 lbs in a week but I didn't realize how hard it would be and how long it would take*sigh* I need motivation. What are somethings that keep you guys going throughout your weight loss journeys?

Hey Sophia! I always draw pictures of myself and what I want to look like in my 5 month journey. I post a pic of what I looked like 23 pounds ago and I ask myself ' Do I want to start all over again? ' Just keep trying! Your WAY to young to give up on yourself!

hey so im not on here much but u r about the same height and weight that i was so its probably about the same feeling that I had. I just wanted to tell you its not worth your time to give up or to stop working. Also another thing i do is i do let myself eat a little unhealthy. but the thing is when. like its ok to sometimes have that cookie but it shouldnt b cuz its tempting u so bad, it should b like ok, in my mind now i am having a cookie because i feel like it but not b/c i want it soooo bad. And just remember that you can avoid that bad food, it just takes a little effort. And really at that moment it feels so hard, but afterward its not so bad and then it gets easier and easier. I can say now when i was at 160 i told myself never again 170 and over time I did lose weight. no it doesnt happen so crazy rapidly but it does happen. less then a year ago my scale said 170- now it says 134. Just keep telling yourself you can do it and keep reminding yourself that it is totally worth it! -and im sure soon ill come on and see your posts and ill be jealous of all the weight you lost.

No, my mom gives me lunch money. I try to eat healthy but sometimes it's so hard to fight temptation. I like the jeans idea. I have some old jeans that are like size 4 from a couple years back when i was smaller. Being able to fit into those gives me some major motivation.

I keep a list of things I'll be able to do after I lose the weight on our Pantry and fridge. Also I bought a pair of smaller jeans that I want to be able to fit. School is the worst place to go on a diet , yesterday my class had a pizza party with doughnuts. I was so scared I was going to ruin my diet I had my mom pick me up early. Do you pack your lunch for school?
