Ht. 5'5", Start: 282 lb, Today: 285 lb (BMI %tile: 98), Goal: 150 lb - Hey guys. So, once again, it's been months since I've posted and I haven't lost anything. I've probably gained since the last time I posted, in fact. But I've finally decided... I am done being overweight. I am going to do WHATEVER it takes to lose weight. I've wasted too many years looking like this and I'm done. So wish me luck, guys! I'll try to post back soon to tell everyone how it's going. And I wish you all the best!

Try tracking your eating habits and weight. It might help you out a little. I heard of this great site for kids called mychildshealth.net they even give you rewards for signing on, blogging and recording your information. Check it out and good luck

Hey Jill!
When I was 17 and 18, I had extreme struggles with weight. I gained 30lbs in like 3 months. I was an emotional eater, feeling that food was the only thing that I could really control. However, I came to realize that I did LOVE food, but I shouldn't use it as a crutch.
The best advice that I can give to you is just get out there! Go for a walk, even if its only 15 minutes! It is better then not walking at all! :) Do 10 sit-ups, then do 10 more later. I'm telling you, quick fix diets don't work. Diet pills don't work, juice diets don't work, especially starvation diets don't work ( I have tried them ALL, trust me!)Every little bit of exercise helps.
Another huge HUGE help to me (even today I monitor my weight!)is this amazing website called loseit.com It is a website that lets you enter in the food you have eaten and gives you the amount of calories you need to eat a day in order to (safely) lose weight! Every time you enter in something you eat, it tells you how many more calories you can eat that day to work towards your goal! It is so sweet! :) Hope this all helps! Good luck!
