Today: 280 lb, Goal: 140 lb - Hi I'm new here but I've been over weight forever and I've tried alot of stuff but I am really starting to get serious about it because it is sooooo unhealthy prom is coming up and no guys have ever looked at me except maybe to laugh or make some snotty comment. You seem to be a wise group help me please I want to loose alot of weight and fast doesn't everybody but what can I do to do it without pills or mad exspensive bow flex machines, or bogus maricle elctro belts. I'm 280 yeah I know gasp gasp the horror I want to get done to a reccomened 140 so I've got 1/2 to loose a big undertaking. I'm on the low carb diet and it kind of sucks I've had near no results what can I do I'm willing to exercise at home but I'm huge so I can't exactly run a marathon guys please help

Hi, Elizabeth I wanted to say you can do it if you put your mind to it, I did I lost 10 pounds in 5 days. Anyway you can try stretching in your living room that is good, or try swimming, and mabye a cardio video that is a slow pace. Good Luck & let me now how it's going! Thanks :)

restrict calories and get a really intense cardio tape. i suggest taebo. if you just get the taebo basic workout tape it'll work well and won't be very expensive. take it from me- it's a wise investment. that and a healthier, lower calories diet has helped me go from 170 to 148 and i plan to continue untill i'm around 125. i know it seems like a lot of weight you need to lose but set tiny goals for yourself like this week i want to lose...2.5 lbs! and this month i want to lose...10 pounds! and then congradulate yourself when you acomplish your goal and keep it up. yeah i know 10 pounds doesn't seem like a lot but you'll be at your goal weight by a year and a half! and to lose that much is a big thing! i know again that a year and a half seems like a really long time but you'll see results waaaaay before that and once you're there everything will be so sweet and worth it. eat a lot of green veggies and drink a lot of cold water and tea(not and do the tape i recomended for 5 days a week and also give yourself one day a week to just kick back and relax off the diet and exersize plan so that you'll be regenerated for next week. the low carb diet isn't good if you find yourself cheating a bit here and there because the way that it works is your body goes into ketosis after a week of eating a low amount of carbs and your body starts burning fat and creating ketones because it has no carbs to run off of. BUT if you go off of it once- just once-(don't get me wrong it's a great diet- my mom hads lost a lot of weight but you really have to stick with it) and you'll have to be good for another whole week before your body kicks back into ketosis. that's why i go witht he low calorie- but whatever you can stick to stick to it. don't do the one day off thing if you're on the low carb diet...good luck! you can do this if you put your mind and body into it. oh- and also work with your mind also because there's something there that makes you overweight and you can fix it if you take it slowly and heal whatever's causing the emotional turmoil...
