Hi everybody. I would like to lose 40, 50, maybe 60 lbs. its hard for me to not eat the things I like to eat. I drink almost 7 glasses of water a day, thinking that will help, but it doesn't seem to. I am 6 ft tall, and weigh 243 lbs. I'm big for my age, and the weight part really bothers me, and depresses me. Advice please.

well- make sure that you do half hour of cardio exersize(i suggest taebo- it'll really work you out and it's uni-sexual so you shouldn't be embarassed incase your family's all into that masculinity thing) it's ok to not do the whole tape or to be slow with the exersizing at first- i was that way when i forst started really exersizing but i can endure a lot of exersizing now. work on your muscles 3 times a week. this can be with free weights or pushups and such- but the more muscle you have the more calories you burn- plus you'll look great after you burn off all of that extra weight over them with cardio exersize. have a day to reast./ for your diet- you should have about 1500 calories a day(men usually need a bit more calories more then women because they tend to burn more with thier muscles) and eat plenty of protien and veggies. also drink a ,lot of water. it sounds like a lot to focus on all at once but you don't have to concentrate on everything- start out slow and remember that it's a slow process but it's worth every second when you get to your goals...
