GUYS, I HAVE A HUGE PROBLEM.My mom doesn't let me exercise enough and i hate her sooo
much for this!!!
(i have no dad or other family).she's overweight herself and she doesn't care - she says looks are not important, blah blah blah, and i need to concentrate on my academics rather than body. i talked to her, begged her, showed her books about it, did everyrthing possible to change her mind- it doesn't work. she controls my life sooo much. grounds me for weeks, doesn't let me move, promotes sitting.also the foods in our house are usually unhealthy(sugary/fatty).she just won't buy veggies... i consider going to foster home.PLEEZ PLEEZ COMMENT/HELP...

this sounds odd to my because i cant imagine my mother promoting poor health but if at school they have any clubs like i no mine has atenis club and a tae bo club u can stay after school and exercise then or at home eat smaller portions of food hope u reach ur goals~ another thing that u might try is sitting down and having a serios talk about both of ur healths by eating the way u are and not ecercising u are seriously cutting ur life short. hope all goes well~good luck~ email me at tinaesser732@msn.com bi

MY MUM DOES THAT ASWELL!! Well, not so severly, but she certainly promotes junk food and sitting around. AND she always complains about her weight (she's also overweight)! And whenever I try to discuss it with her she either doesn't reply, changes the subject, pretends I said nothing, walkes away, shouts or just says it's stupid!!!
I don't really know what you should do. Why don't you try going shopping and buying better food. Maybe take up an exercise class and you pay for it.
If you have no money, are you allowed to go out for just a walk??? Cus walking every day would be good.
If you aren't allowed out of the house what about dancing in your house? Or doing situps and things? Unfortunatly you'll probably have to change your diet...which is hard if your mum isn't buying good food. Maybe you should tell someone about this? I'm not sure. Hope I helped!? Good Luck!

Wow thats gotta be hard. Not to brag (or is this even bragging lol) or anything but my mom is like the health freak! There is absolutley NOTHING sweet in our house .. except theres some low calorie hot chocolate but thats it. And she goes for her little walks and always wants me to come shes like a size 6 or something. But about your mom and your problem I think you should maybe go to a councilor (srry cant spell right now:P) or if your allowed to go off your school premises at lunch then walk to a grocery store and buy some veggies or a salad to eat for lunch. You'll be burning calories as well as eating healthy :D
