Ht. 5'11", Start: 230 lb, Today: 250 lb (BMI %tile: 98), Goal: 225 lb - I am 13-years-old, nearly 6 feet tall and plus-sized. I hate shopping because there are not a lot of options. Either the length is too short, the width is too tight, or the color options are poor. As a result, I hate shopping.
My mom and I want to launch a small clothing line dedicated to plus size teen girls that face the same challenges as I do. We are compiling a list of body measurements to create sizing that actually works.
Would you mind sending me your body measurements? Telling me what challenges you face in buying clothes? Which garments you have the least success with when you go shopping and anything else that would be helpful. I would really appreciate your feedback and I am looking forward to hearing from you. A problem for me is the thighs. pants that have bigger thighs are so hard to find, because even plus sized pants aren't made to fit those who gain weight in the thighs

Well, I'm really short for my age, so I would first request the option of clothes for teens ranging from 4'6 to 6'6.

I can't buy from the kids section because their "plus size" fits only chubby kids, and I'm not just chubby. I obviously can't buy from women's because lengthwise, I'm much too short to fit well in an adult S, and girth-wise, at least an M.
As for pants, I usually wear oversized jeans because I don't do shorts, and everything else is unflattering. Bootcut jeans and skinny jeans are a nightmare for me because I have skinny calves, so all of my leg weight is from the knees to the thighs. Women's jeans don't fit well length wise, but the width for them is alright on me. Kids jeans are made for pre-pubescent girls who don't carry much weight on the thighs, so they're basically the same problem as women's jeans, in reverse.
My measurements are 32-34-38 (in), and I'm 4'8", for your reference. Good luck on your your clothing line, Kai!
