December is a stressful month, but don't let that keep you down (or up in weight)! If you really care about yourself you will take a serious look at your eating and exercising habits. Remember, you should exercise for about 30 minutes 5 times a week. That could be walking, playing basketball, following a work-out tape, anything. Next, write down everything you eat. Try and add up all the calories. You shouldn't be over 2300. Next, restrict your portions. No seconds, except as many vegetables as you want. But, make sure if you have corn or something, limit on the butter or margrine. Try to eat at least 4 servings of vegetables a day (1 serving would be like an apple or orange). Don't skip meals because that will just make you hungrier which makes you tend to overeat. Cut out soft drinks and also frozen foods, and fast foods. Also drink PLENTY of water. To eat less, before a meal exercise for at least 20 minutes and make sure to drink plenty of water. This should fill you stomach and supress you appetite. If you have cravings, go in a room without food for 5 minutes. If you still want that food by the end of your time, do 10 push ups, and 20 jumping jacks and allow yourself a small portion of the food. Good luck!
