I totally know what you mean. I maintained 180 for two years. And then senior year, I worked out daily and had the same diet, but with stress I ended up gaining 30 pounds even though nothing changed. Stress is bad. Find calming techniques

*comment to your comment* ---yes! definitely. Not eating will actually lead to you gaining more weight because your body goes into starvation mode and starts eating up your insides, which makes you weak and once you start eating again you will just gain lots of weight back and more than you started with. So eat every 3 hours and only a handful of stuff. Your stomach is like a fireplace, you keep throwing wood in and the fire gets stronger. We have to eat to have our stomach BURN the fat and the calories, our metabolism speeds up and losing weight is all about metabolism. Eat this way and work out and I gurantee it'll work. It takes time so don't get frustrated in the first week..your body will get used to it soon and then start burning. GOod luck!

hey sorry about ur mother, if u said you are athletic it could be muscle or a very thin layer of fat over the muscle that makes some strong people look like they could be fat when they arent.

Hey..firstly, I'm so sorry about your mother! I hope that she'll get better very very soon. Just pray your heart out! and I know what you mean about gaining weight..I gained about 18 lbs within a year :( you should try eating small meals every 3 hours (which speeds up the metabolism) and work out every day even if its a little...just do little things like walking or jumping or situps and lunges. YOu don't need gym equipment to get good workouts in. Just use things in your house like a chair or the wall or if you dont have weights, you can lift water bottles or something. Just keep moving and eat right and I know you'll lose and remember stress makes you gain weight...so try not to stress, I know it's hard with your mom and her cancer but just pray and be optimistic, things will get better for your mother and you will lose weight! good luck~
