My child is teased all the time at school and has terrible self esteem issues. When shes depressed she eats and when she eats she gets more depressed because the fact that she ate that, meant she put on more weight. We dont have any junk food around but she will stuff herself on apples and 100 calorie packages. Its not healthy at all. We also have no idea what to do exercise wise. Shes 5'10 and weighs 250. Please help, I want to put an end to her depression.

Hi, Nicole, I know where you're coming from. My son will stuff himself with anything, too. My husband and I are currently seeing a counselor, but Jake hasn't gone yet. What about a healthy program like Weight Watchers. They can eat ANYTHING in moderation. My therapist suggested just walking around the block with Jake for no other reason than spending time together. This way he's getting exercise without realizing it. That's where we are starting, because I'm not an outside person. Hope this helps. Michele
