Ht. 5'8", Start: 179 lb, Today: 162 lb (BMI %tile: 79), Goal: 140 lb - Hey guys. I decided im gonna post on this board from now on (im not actually 18 until march though). Im so frustrated at myself. I've been working out 3-4 times per week for the last 3 weeks but i havent lost any weight because i've been too lenient on myself with junk food. I have gotten to the point where i wont allow myself to get hungry because im scared that if i do get hungry i will end up binging. However, i am going on holiday on June 25th and i'd really love to be at 140-145 lbs by then! Today i went shopping and tried on some bikins and let me tell you...i was disgusted by the way i looked in them. From my waist down i am really wide, have a huge bum, saddlebags and cellulite all over the place. I really need 2 to shift this weight or theres no way im going to feel conifdent in a bikini. For the next couple weeks im gonna aim to eat 1500 calories per day and continue to work out as i am. Im also gonna seriously limit junk food. Once i have the junk food under control im gonna try cut down on fizzy drinks- i currently drink 3-4 cans of pepsi max per day. My 18th is 6 weeks away so im hoping to lose 8-10lbs by then! Do you guys allow yourself to get hungry?

I get hungry sometimes. Before you limit the junk food ditch the pop. Substituting water for pop will help you a lot! Water cleanses and gets rid of excess waste and stuff hanging around in your body.
Also you can't shift weight. Some people are just bigger in certain places naturally...it's how you're built. Just make sure you eat heathy..aim for 3-5 servings of fruits and vegetables each day. Also make sure you are getting at least 30 min of cardio/physical activity along with weights or some sort of resistance training. You will start seeing results all over. Some places just may be more slowly. Just realize any weight lost is a step in the right direction. Try to focus on those positives and not negatives. Also allow yourself one day where you can eat junk food and pop. Sunday is my day. If you don't you are more likely to crash and binge.
But stop the pop pronto. That will help tremendously.
Also you can go to mypyramid.gov and off to the side there is my pyramid plan or my pyramid menu tracker. It will help breakdown what is an appropriate diet for someone your height weight and age.
