Well, it's back to school season once again. My daughter went back a couple days ago. I was right. She needed an entirely new wardrobe, as she gained another 9 lbs since the last time I posted here, weighing in at 289 lbs at the start of the school year. Anyone else having to deal with similar issues? How are your kids handling it? My daughter doesn't seem to mind at all.

You're right about her enjoying her food over the summer. I am just glad she's not unhappy because I was miserable at her age. I do have a feeling that her attitude towards her body has changed. It will be interesting to see if her weight continues to climb and how quickly if it does.

I can totally understand her being happy with her size, as she's around the same weight I was at her age, and I loved how it felt to be that size, and always eating a lot. Since we homeschool, there's not so much pressure on 'back to school' for our girls. We're easing back into structured learning now for the autumn.

He doesn't mind either. It's worrying though. I think part of the reason is that some of his friends and other kids his age are getting to his size too. So he doesn't see it as a problem.
