I'm the child, not the parent. I'm fairly tall, but weigh 259 pounds. I cant do much exercise, my flab gets in the way of me doing even one situp, and it touches the ground during pushups. I'm astounded when I look in the mirror, my mountain of fat hangs over my pants.

Just take it slowly ok, don't force yourself trying to do things you can't do or having trouble with. Start by taking a small walk around the neighborhood and progress from there. As you start losing weight things that seem hard to do now will become easier. Also start cutting back on the amount of junk food you eat over time, don't go cold turkey as you will be craving it alot and will fall to the temptation. After you reached your goals don't go back to your old habits/lifestyle because before you know it you'll be back to square one.
