My son Carlos is a 15 year old incoming high school freshman. Very nice kid but has severe ADHD and other underlying emotional issues being explored. He is supposed to take a fairly large dosage of Concerta each day but has become very inconsistent with doing it. When he doesn't take Concerta, his appetite is voracious. He does not and has no interest in exercising. He is about 5 foot 8 and 200 pounds. It took us a long time to notice as all he wears (even before the weight gain) are baggy shorts, t shirts, and hoodies. His dad and I want to help, we both exercise regularly. We only keep healthy food in the house. However Carlos has a lot of independence. He does walk to light rail which stops right next to his school but we live in an urban area with a lot of food options at the light rail stop at school. It does not seem wise to take away a high schooler's allowance. Any help on how to help carlos would be appreciated
