Hey my name is Hannah I have 2 kids and they are both obese. My 1 year old Carly weighs 47lbs but that's not why I am writing. I am writing about my 10 year old daughter who weighs 250lbs and is growing. I am not sure wether it is in her genes because I weigh 500lbs myself. But she her friends are all so much smaller then her but they are all obese too. I tried putting her on a diet but she still eats and eats and eats. I don't know what to do!

I will agree with the last person...but i will say it this way. I was 646lbs had a failed gastric bypass and 350. Regained 100 from poor eating habits. But my son who is 7 went from a size 6 in Kindergarten to a 10-12 in 1st grade to a 14 in 2nd. Best advice is to walk with her. I walk with mine for 30 mins a day. It won't do much but he has lost a few inches. Plus we do the stupid workout tapes 1x a week. Took out chips..he doesn't eat candy has never had soda. Take something out of her diet. No fast food.

First, I would try to lose weight myself(as the parent). Leads your child by being a good role model and example. Drink water, eat less, balance out junk food with healthier foods. This encourages your child to lose weight herself. Dont force her into a diet unless you will be doing it with her. Also, dont force her into it, let her make her choice in her own time. If you dont be gentle it will make matters worse.
