i know how you feel. two years ago my daughter tried out our scale, not knowing the was a digi memory. when i stepped on the scale i looked at the memory and it said 230 pounds! she didn't know i knew but i made her a doc's appointment. she has been getting some help now and she was down to 205 at her lowest. she's kinda fell off her diet a bit and now is 233 but she is now working at it again. good luck! try to scheddule an appointment or exercise with her

A good place to start is reading the Parents Page on this website. Most overweight kids appreciate parents who are good role models (eat healthy foods and exercise regularly) and listen to the difficulties their children may be experiencing in life. Overeating can often start as a way to deal with unpleasant emotions, so providing alternative activities and empathizing with their daily struggles can often help.
