You are providing great support for your daughter by listening to her concerns and trying to help her get her weight down. What strategies have you and your daughter tried so far in losing weight? It sounds like her class has a lot of peer pressure for doing certain things. Perhaps shifting the focus away from her class would help. Getting her involved in activities outside of this class or classmates, such as after school clubs/activities, or volunteering, could provide fun activities that don't include the pressure of dating. Girl scouts troops, activities at local YMCA or Boys and Girls Club, or volunteering for things she might like, such as help walking or playing with dogs at animal shelter are a few things to look for in your community. I hope these ideas help!
