hi all. today, i went out to a party, and i made Sammie stay home so she wouldn't gain more weight from all the food eating there. well, anyway, she screamed, and was crying when i left. when i came home, Sammie was at the table, eating chicken, steak chicken nuggets, hot dogs, cake, ice cream, chips, hamburgers, and a whole bunch of candy layed out on the table. i didn't bother yelling at her. then, when she was almost done with it all, she went over to the fridge for more. my wife was on a buisiness trip for almost the whole day, so i was alone with her and kyle. he asked her howlong she'd beeneating for, and she said, since we had left for the party. after she wasdone eating the second round, she took a break and sat down. i was about to yell at her for eating all the food, when i heard a popping sound. her button down shirt came halfway undone, and her jean button popped right open, and they were brand new. i got her up on the scale, to find that her weight skyrocketed an extra twenty pounds from a few days ago, all into her stomach. i brought her to the store then, so the salesman could measuer her for a new belt. the tape measure barely fit around her belly. he told me there were no belts in her size in the girl's department, and told me to tyr the men's. we now shop there for all her clothes. she told me she wanted to try on some girls slim jeans and i told her no. this was because kyle had just picked out boys slim jeans, and a shirt, and Sammie was jealous. a couple of people who were near the dressing room gaped over my son trying on a new bathing suit. kyle's girlfriend Naiome, who also came with us, is also very thin, even thinner than Kyle, and tall. Naiome tried on a bikini, and then Sammie asked where she got it from. Naiome is a size 0, so i knew right away it wasn't something Sammie could wear. Naiome is very nice to Sammie, though, and tried to tell her nicely it wasn't going to fit her, by reccomending some cute plus sized women's one peices, and water shorts.it's so hard to go shopping with sammie, because she wants to wear whatever Naiome wears. the two have gone out for almsot a year now, and i heard Naiome just got a modeling contract for Abercrombie and Fitch. my son is applying today, and i don't know what to do if he gets the job. sammie will be so jealous, and i just want her to be happy. what should i do?

I don't get why people waste so much time making up stories and posting them on here, it just doesn't make much sense... =/

Good call, Taylor. I didn't want to confront the poster directly and ask if the story is true, but it has enough discrepancies to give me serious doubt. The Sammie on the preteens page misspells "excersize" the same way John does; that's just weird. She also write excessively long posts compared to the standard posting length, as does John. I really didn't believe a person would go to the trouble of posting again and again for a fake story, but that seems likely to have occurred. For an authentic case of a parent and child posting simultaneously, see Lisa (mother) and Alexa (daughter) from April 2009: note that the daughter's posts are very short and uneducated, as one might expect.

And the Sammie on the Preteen boards is also giving diet tips and seems motivated, while your Sammie doesn't seem so much. There's something fishy about this, guys...

Well denying her the chance to go places because she'll eat there isn't really fair, especially since food is mandatory, you won't ever go somewhere there WON'T be access to food. You've just got to get her to a point where she understands he limits, and she knows she can't eat too much.
Also, 20 pounds in a few days, even a week, is physically impossible, so you're lying or exaggerating. A pound of fat is 3500 calories. And 20 pounds is 70,000 calories. No one can overeat THAT much, literally, your body won't let you, after you overeat to a certain extent, your body won't let you hold that much food, and you'll vomit, involuntarily, so there's no way she could've possibly downed that much, not to mention even if she ate non-stop, she probably wouldn't have near enough time to eat that much in a few days. So due to inconsistencies, I'm not even sure if you're whole story is true, or if you're some kid joking around. If this is a joke, it's a sick one, so you should leave.
If it's not, you should definitely make sure you get your facts straight, and don't exaggerate, because I'm a stickler for details, and so are lots of people on here. We have far too many people on here making fake names and stories just for fun, and that's not what this site is for, so if you're serious about this, you have to give us information that's correct to prove it.
And if this is real, and she has that much of an issue with eating, get hormone panels run, if nothing is physically wrong, take her to a therapist and nutritionist, put padlocks on the pantry and fridge, and put her on a strict diet. She doesn't need you to indulge this, but she also needs you to handle it in a calm and mature manner, yelling never helps, never. And it's your fault she had access to all that food, so take credit where credit is due. Your daughter clearly has a problem, and it can hardly be blamed on her. It's like leaving a drug addict in a pharmacy unsupervised, you can hardly expect them to just walk away, they really just can't do it.

What does your daughter weigh? On the preteens forum there's a Sammie from your IP address who says she weighs 240 pounds, but on this page you say she weighs more than 300 pounds. What's the truth? You can't try to resolve the problem until you know what the problem is.

again, take out all the food in the fridge that will make her fat. you and ur family may miss out on the food but would u rather have that or ur daughter sad, fat, and have low self esteem?
