Hi... I was just wondering in you have caught any of your children posting pictures/videos of themselves on the internet. The other day I found a video of my obese (237 lb.) son on youtube! I didn't know how to handle the situation. I was wondering if any of you have found your children doing similar things and how you delt with it.

Yes, I "caught" my 13 year old son posting a vid of himeslf on youtube also. He was dancing in our living room with his shirt off making his belly fat shake all over (he weighs almost 300 pounds, so there's a whole lot of shakin' goin' on!) and he seemed to be having a ball doing it. He's never been shy about being fat and in fact he seems to be proud of it, so I guess he wanted the whole world to know it. I did not repremand him for it, or even talk to him about it, but I am keeping an eye on his youtube account to make sure he doesn't do anything I wouldn't approve of. If this is your son's creative outlet, let him go for it. All you have to do is watch his youtube account and if he goes "too far" then it would be time to do something.

Unless he was engaging in some forbidden act, I wouldn't worry about it. It's not like he did something wrong? Talk to him about it.
