My daughter spent 6 months in Spain with a host family and came back almost 50 pounds heavier. I cannot believe the change---her stomach has two rolls, she has back fat and her rear is enormous. I had a talk with her and she says in Spain, boys like women with a little meat, and she doesn't plan to lose the weight. I had bought her a new dress, size 10 but she is now at least an 18.

I'd say, if u cant make her lose the weight, then have her try to get healthier by eating healthy foods. She may not lose the weight, but it will be better.

Hi Joan,
No wonder your daughter is fighting you to not loose weight. Take a moment to read what you said about her. The way you described her is enough for her to become even bigger than she already has. She may need to lose a few pounds but she is really confident in who she is. Most girls are not that confident. You honestly need a few tips on parenting.

Wow, that's alot of weight in 6 months. That couldn't be good for her health. But if she is determined to keep the weight on, you shouldn't push her to lose the weight. That will only make her angry.
