Hi ive posted on here about my 13 year old son a couple of months agao and have tried many ways to try to get him to loose weight but he just dosn't seem to care about being overweight. When i last posted he was 5'1 and weighed 155lbs but in the last 2 months he has gaind over 25lbs and now weighs 184lbs. I tell him he needs to loose weight and try to get him to excersices and eat more healthy but he just says he dosn't care that he is fat and just keeps gaining weight. I don't want him to be unhealthy. The other day I saw him with his shirt off and his stomach has gone from big to enourmous. I just don't like seeing him overweight. Hes just got fat alover huge thiges, blubbery arms and legs and on his face. He is only 5'1.
Please if anyone has any way i could help him or if you or your kids have any advice for him or me please respond.
Thanks

I know it's probably hard for you as a parent to see your child be overweight. But as hard as it is for you, you have to remember how hard it probably is for you child. I know, because I'm overweight too (5'10" 235 lbs). But you may be right, he might just not care. If that's the case, there is not much you can do. You could try the scare tactic; tell him all the bad things that could happen to him if he remains overweight, such as diabetes, heart attack, stroke, etc. Take him to a doctor, and ask the doctor to suggest a diet plan for him. If he follows it, he will probably do fine. MAKE SURE HE DOESN'T EAT JUNK FOOD!!!!!!!! And get him to exercise. Get him out on his bike, or get a puppy and get him to walk it. Just do something. But don't let him get any heavier. Trust me, I'm overweight, and I HATE it. Also, set a good example; don't tell him not to eat junk food and then eat it or keep it in the house. Don't give him money to buy snacks. Just keep healthy food in the house. Low fat popcorn is excelent!! It's healthy, and it helps fill you up so you're not starving!!! Hope I helped!! Cody

don't tell him to lose weight!! Tell him that you want to start walking together because you are planning a big trip to....(like yellowstone or some national park and go threw on it) and he has to get in shape that way you can see all the wonderful things.
