My 19-year-old daughter came home from college 3000 miles away and I didn't recognize her at the airport initially---she has gone from a thin, athletic body type to a fat person--I mean she has gained about 50 pounds. We hadn't seen her since September 2004 because she spent Xmas with her boyfriend's family in Spain.
I am beside myself, and don't know what to say. I am still getting used to the shocking change. Her face, her rear end, her stomach---all blown up and flabby now.
What happened to my beautiful daughter???

She's in college so everything she does it utilmately her decision but you could attempt to help her while shes at your house and possibly confront her nicely about it. Or you might just want to wait and see if she asks for help. The way your message was worded made you sound very rude, don't act like that towards your daughter. It's horrible to think that someone would think like that of their own kids. *Ray*Ray*

What are you trying to suggest? You know that you daughter went 3000 miles away to go to school. She has stress, school work, probably more problems than you could imagine. If you need to let her know, please don't say that she is fat. Tell her, I notice that you have gain a few pounds. Try not to sound as cruel as you sound on your message on the bulletin board. Unless, the fact is, you do only think she is beautiful when she is thin.

Yah she went to college and was introduced to crap, aka food. Its hard at college because studends can eat what they want, when they want and drink 24/7. I'm not saying your daughter did that, but that is the freshman 15. I'm sure she noticed her weight gain. Have her go to her school gym and try and loose the weight.

She's not saying her daughter is not beautiful. She's just saying "my beautiful daughter got all fat" never said she isnt still beautiful. Sounds like your daugheter gained the freshman fifty instead of the freshman 15 (i'm assuming this is her freshman for yar of college for no apparent reason).

That's pretty awful to suggest she isn't beautiful if she's fat.
