My daughter, as with her three siblings, is beyond chunky but eats wisely - no soda or fast foods. We've not made a big deal over her size since both her Mom and I are also bigger. We deal with weight in the context of our total lives - and it works! She is active in school affairs, gets dates, has good grades and is living an essentially balanced life. Might I suggest that this is a constructive approach others might find useful with their larger than normal teens rather thsn focusing soely on weight loss?

I think what you do with your daughter is wonderful. However, may I remind you that even if she is getting dates and good grades that there are still many health risks that come along with obesity
