I am divorced and I live in California. My daughter and ex-wife live in New York. My ex-wife feeds her like no tommarow and ignores the fact that she is totally unhealthy. From June till August she was staying with me. When I first picked her up in June, I could not believe my eyes! She had gained so much weight since I last saw her (which was a little less than a year ago). Her stomch was buldging over her jeans and her arms had stretch marks on them. Of course, I didn't say anything, but it hurt me so much to see her so unhealthy. When I needed to send her to a local day camp and they needed her medical form I called my ex-wife to send it up. She was only 5'5" and weighed 243 pounds. Those numbers jumped out at me, I would never guessed she weighed over 200 pounds, more than me! She gained 39 pounds in one year. Later that week when my (new) wife took her to get jeans at gap, she had trouble finding some, because the biggest size they had (16) did not fit her and they eventually had to go to a Lane Bryant. Is there any way I can help this issue thousands miles away? I've discussed this with my ex-wife, but she weighs proably over 400 pounds so 240 doesn't seem like much. She also got really offended when I told her that Jenny looked un-healthy. Thanks in advanced! --Mark

I have the same problem. My ex-wife is 5'4" and 220 (morbidly obese by definition). She feeds my kids nothing but carbs because she doesn't know how to eat herself. My daughter is 5'3 and 140 with a big belly and mid-section. She carries the weight okay, but even the WiiFit I got her categorized her as Obese! My son who has a modest belly was at the top end of overweight. I've asked her to stop feeding them so much (and stop buying junk food) but she won't. I don't know what to do.

Gap goes up to size 20. Try Old Navy for jeans and stuff too. As for the healthy eating, just try to talk to your ex-wife, unfortunatly there's not much you can do since you're so far away. *Ray*Ray*
