hi my child is 14 years old and she is overweight. she weighs 156lbs today. i am proud of her for loosing about 16 since january,but i want her to be proud of her body. so does anyone out there know how i can motivate her over the summer to loose weight. like i don't know what to tell her. thanks for the help :)

I reccomend CURVES. It is fun, you can work together, but the only thing is you have to be there with her. I think that might help if she enjoys going with you to excercise.

How tall is your daughter? What's her goal weight? I think if you two would start exercising together that would be motivating. Also, don't dwell on her being on a diet all the time. Oh yeah, try not to eat out all the time... or if you do encourage her to get a salad.

If you can get her to exercise with you, I recommend Walk Away the Pounds video with Leslie Sansone. My son enjoys doing it with me. If she gets firmer, she will feel better about her body, even with the extra weight, and it will help her to lose.

Hi, I was 210 in the beginning of January and now I am 184! Maybe you should get a gym membership. That is what I am gonna do this summer. If she rejects tell her that you are concerned and want to help. -Hope I helped love and God Bless!
