my daughter is 14 and weighs about 215lbs. and is only sopose to weigh 115lbs. she has two brothers and they are both slim. i have gone to the doctor and they say that she needs less food and no more sweets it just dont help. she goes out side and plays with her brothers 30 mins a day . but she still is gaining is there any other parents out there that can give me advise on what i sould do ?

she can't just play with her brothers....she has to do something PHYSICALLY ACTIVE (MOVING HER BODY) for 30 consecutive minutes EACH DAY!! if she does that and diets properly...she WILL see results!!! good luck

The reason my daughter is over weight is due to the fact she never followed the diet. in the beginning she did, but then went off of it. she did loose weight with atkins, then gained all right back. Atkins dose work, it has for me and my wife. i speak from out experences. I am not being rude or anything of that sort, just giving my ideas on the topic. thank you.

I hate to say it, but play is different from exersise. She needs 30 minutes of exersise, not play, a day, or even more. I say controll her carb intake, lets say no more then 50 carbs a day, feed her meat, cheese, and veggies, diet rite soda and lots of water. walk with her 30-45 minuets every day in the beginning and increase the time slowly. good luck
