My daughter is 9 years old and has been overweight all her life. It runs on both sides of the family. I have a problem with finding jeans for her. She keeps telling me that kids make fun of her because she is always wearing sweatpants. Where can I find jeans that will fit the measurements of my daughter. They are: Waist - 38 inches Hips - 39 inches Inseam - 21 inches Chest - 36 inchesI tried looking at the pluskidz.com but they are too small and I tried looking at JC Penneys but they are also too small. Can anyone help. Also has anyone ever thought that this would be one heck of a good business to start. It seems that there are a lot of us out there that have the same problem.

Hi as the mother of a 9 year old girl as well I understand. The best place for jeans I have found is JC Penney. They have great brands MUDD and LEVI. Also try Ebay most will have the measurements.

Try a store called "The Buckle". They take personal sizes and all. Its really wonderful because they have any style you want in every size there is.

Hey I get alot of my clothes from Girlfriends LA like that other person said and also Alloy and Delia's. They all go up to size 29 I think, maybe bigger I'm not sure (I wear a 20) There clothes are so cool!!! Also dependeing on what size she wears Old navy and Gap might work but I can only get Gap at the outlet because in regualr store they only go up to like 14 I think.

Hi Rose........I feel your frustration and I have often thought that this would be a great business, but haven't made time to design or pursue it. Anyway, we have a jean issue as well. Our latest pair came from "Girlfriends". They have a catalog and a website, it's www.gfla.com. They generally have jeans that have spandex in them. I usually have to hem them, but I don't mind as long as they fit and she has her self-esteem. Another option is www.alloy.com. Good luck.
