My daughter is 5 foot 3, and weighs 147 lbs. I was wondering, if that was a healthy weight- height-wise anyways. If it turns out that she's over weight I'm not going to flip out, she is after all stronger than me. All I want to do is just maybe look out for some possible future weight problems.

First off, i think it is wonderful that you are concerned but not going to go nuts over your daughters weight. my mother did, and she always embarrised me and made me feel hurt and angry. Anyway, the best thing to do is trick her into exersise. That is, ask her to walk with you to the store and such. Do not deprive her of junk food, because she will become angry and resentfull. insteday, the best approch is to eat it after lunch, so she has time to burn it off. Trust me, i was about the same age and hight as your daughter *I was only 1 year older, 13) and I weighed the same amount! Pluse do not forget that she is going threw puberty, wich adds a ton of weight. She will grow very fast soon also. As for me, I am 21, 5'8 and 145. I have weighed more but lost it. Dont worry your daughter will be fine!
