My child weighs 130 and is 12 years old and she's 5'2"could you please tell me if she is or isn't overweight, and could you tell me what to do for a dietthank you very much!!!

She's fine. I think that's the normal weight. Just keep it under controll and she'll be fine

It sounds like your daughter doesn't have a big weight problem. At 12 she is still developing and her body is still changing so if she were my child I wouldn't alter her diet drastically. My daughter had about 20 pounds to lose but it doesn't sound like your daughter needs to lose that much. If you are worried or concerned then simply aim to cut down the fat content of her food. She will lose a little weight and probably not realise she is dieting. Look for low fat foods or low fat versions of what she already eats i.e. low fat pizza, pasta and slimming foods. Also aim to reduce the amount of chocolate and sweets she consumes - difficult I know. I do know that a lot of girls put on a little weight just before they go through puberty so it could be that she will slim down anyway. I really wouldn't be too worried about her weight at this point but maybe keep an eye on it and, as I said, reduce the fat in her diet and increase fruits and veg.
