Ht. 5'5", Wt. 200 - Will running in place give you the same results as running like normal people do?Because I live in the country and it's really hilly and the ground is so uneven.

No its not the same.. and you will actually loss more weight running up and down hills. Yes i know it prolly will make u tired easier but my school is in the middle of CORN FIELDS "children of the corn" here and its really hilly... So my track and cross country team runs up and down them and around helps us get in shape alot easier!...GOOD LUCK And get RUNNING

I think its funny how you said "like normal people do" lol. But to answer your question, it is not really the same because how long can you really run in place. You may be able to run normal for a half hour but running in place for a half hour doesnt really happen. You know what would be really good is to walk the straight aways and run the hills, and that would be a huge benefit for you. Alot of celebrity trainers have the celebrities do that to get in shape for movies.

I think running in place is just as good as jogging, but not as good as running.
